Consulting

I don't teach trauma.

I describe what it felt like.

Your team sees the behavior — the silence, the resistance, the shutdown, the distance.

I can describe what was happening on the inside before any of that became visible.

Not a framework. Not a method. Not something I learned in a classroom.

Just a long time living it and writing it down — drawn from a published memoir that follows the experience from the beginning.

What Your Team Sees

01

A client who looks calm may be shutting down.

02

A client who seems distant may be protecting themselves.

03

A client who resists may be calculating whether the room is safe.

04

A client who sits in silence may still be deciding.

Your team already knows how to recognize these things. What is harder to know is what they feel like from the inside — and why that changes how you might respond.

That is what I bring.

How It Works

I sit with clinical teams in roundtable sessions and open-floor conversations. Your team brings their questions. I answer from my own experience — carefully, and without oversharing.

I am not performing. I am not presenting a polished version of recovery. I give your team the part of the story that is useful to them, and I stop there.

Sessions run from two to six hours. Structured and open-floor formats are both available. A sliding scale is available for community mental health organizations and veteran-focused nonprofits — ask about it during your first conversation.
