For Veterans
If you're looking for language for the parts of this that are hard to name, this is what I offer.
Not advice. Not a framework. Just a direct account of what it has felt like — written so it can be useful to someone else going through the same or similar territory.
Speaking
I also speak to veteran organizations, military family groups, and peer-support networks. The focus remains the same: honest description of the internal experience, without motivation speeches or simplified recovery narratives.
A Note
I am not healed. I am not finished. This work is not built on a completed recovery. It is built on years of paying close attention to what the process actually looks like from the inside.
I will not claim to have answers I don't have. What I can do is describe the terrain with accuracy.
